FAQ's

How does the custom boot liner attach to my car?

The boot liner attaches using a combination of velcro for the side panels and buckles around your car's rear seat headrests.

Which areas of the boot are covered by a boot liner?

Our bootliner covers back of back seat, boot sides and boot floor. If your vehicle has a downtailgate (e.g. Range Rover) a cover is provided, if not, then a bumper flap is included. If you have a 7 Seater Vehicle, the liner is designed to fit with the 3rd row seats folded flat.

I have a Hybrid/Electric car - will the boot liner still fit?

All our liners are designed for petrol/diesel cars only unless the product title specifically states it is for a hybrid or all-electric variant of a vehicle. Please consult us before ordering if you are not sure.

My car has moveable back seat positions - will the bootliner fit?

All our bootliners are designed to fit with the back seats in the rearmost position and will not fit correctly if the back seat is moved forward

Can the rear seats be folded down with the boot liner on?

To fold your rear seats down you will need to unhook the clips from around the headrests before folding the seats down. Due to the mechanics on the pivot point of the rear seats (these will vary from vehicle to vehicle) it is likely you will have a small gap between the top of the liner and the top of the seats when they are folded down. If you want this gap to be covered up when your seats are down we recommend you select the boot liner extender option when purchasing your boot liner.

My car has a subwoofer in the boot

If you have a subwoofer in your boot please make sure that you select the option that states 'with subwoofer' when ordering your liner. Please note the subwoofer changes the shape of the sides on the boot liner which is why we need to know this information. The subwoofer itself will still be covered over.

I can't see my car listed on your options?

Whilst we hold a very extensive range of car templates, there are some we do not currently have. Please contact us as it is likely we will be able to obtain the template for your vehicle.

Can I use your boot liner with a dog guard?

In most cases, yes. The only exceptions are where the dog guard is bolted to the floor or other areas normally covered by the boot liner. Our own Headrest Mounted Dog Guard is compatible with all OTT Custom Boot Liners.

How do you clean your boot liners?

To care for your boot liner, simply leave to dry and brush off mud. To remove hairs, brush with a rubber glove or hoover. The liner can be washed at up to 40 degrees (no fabric conditioner) but not tumble dried.

What materials are your covers made from?

Various fabrics, some exclusive combinations to us are used for various products. For more information on fabrics, please see the fabrics page.

 Can I see colour samples?

If you would like to see material samples before purchasing, simply request them using our contact us form.

 What are the airbag slits?

All our front seat covers have a side slit to facilitate the deployment of airbags. Any further queries on the deployment of airbags whilst using seat covers should be directed to the vehicle manufacturer.

 What is a 60/40 split?

Some vehicles have the ability to fold down just one part of the back seat. This facility is now included as standard on our custom bootliners.

My car has front seat armrests - will your covers fit?

We can add holes for armrests, just select the armrest hole option when ordering.

What is the Lift Off Luggage Cover or Fixed Luggage Cover Option when I'm selecting my bootliner?

Certain models of car have a luggage cover that is fixed to the back seat rather than lifting off from the sides of the boot. If you wish to use your liner with this fixed type of cover in place, you need to choose this option as we then manufacture a different fitting for the back of back seat cover.

What is the Raised Floor or Lowered Floor option when I'm selecting my bootliner?

Some vehicles are specified with either a raised or lowered boot floor (normally dependant on whether you have a full size or space saver spare wheel), or have different floor level positions to choose from. Raised Floor boots are normally level with the rear lip of your car whereas Lowered Floor boots usually dip down a few inches from the lip of the car to the floor level. If in doubt, we would be happy to look at images emailed to us to make sure you get the right liner.

Can I use the luggage anchor points in the floor of my boot when the liner is in place?

Generally speaking, the floor is completely covered with no allowance for anchor points as this detracts from the waterproofing of the boot floor. In some cases it may be possible to add access slits if required. Please phone us to discuss.

What happens if my dog bed arrives and I find I have ordered the wrong size?

Simply contact us within seven days and we will happily arrange an exchange for the correct size.

 Are your dog beds washable?

Many of our beds have removeable washable covers. Generally the covers can be washed at up to 40 degrees (except waterproof fabric, 30 degrees) but should not be tumble dried. More details on covers can be found on the individual product descriptions and the care labels on the product.

Can you provide spare dog bed covers?

Spare covers are available for most beds. If not shown as an option on our website, please contact us and it is likely we will be able to help.

How accurate are the sizes you give for your dog beds?

Due to the nature of the materials used, there can be a slight variance from the quoted measurements.

Are your dog beds chewproof?

As a determined dog can chew through a wooden table leg, it is not possible to guarantee any of our beds as chewproof. The most chew resistant, however, is our Hooligan Waterproof Bed.
